What better way to build muscle but to buy some protein powder from the store, possibly GNC or even Better Health. Right? Wrong! I can't tell you enough how many side effects I got from drinking protein shakes. First and the biggest side effect was acne with me. Soon as I got on the stuff my Softmore year in High School, it turned my moderate acne into severe acne. It got so bad I had to turned to a strong drug called Accutane to get rid of it, which made my body get more side effects from the drug Accutane. See how drugs work, some may not call protein powder a drug, but it really is. The protein shakes these days have all sort of stuff in them.
The next side effect was gas, super bad too, I remember just stinking up the class room at my High School. It got so bad I immediately had to downgrade my protein shake intake! But I still didn't get off of them, because I wanted to get big and bad as the bodybuilder on the protein powder container. Not knowing that in order to get that big, that bodybuilder took a ton amount of steroids and HGH.
Another side effect I received was diarrhea, which if your stool is loose and coming out wrong, means whatever you eating is not healthy. All in all, stay off of the protein shakes, I'm only going to stress this once. It's not worth it and you really won't see any big gains. You can get all the protein you need by eating natural food regularly. It's not worth the side effects, take it from me, 10 year experienced bodybuilder.
